Join us to support the young actors that aspires to become an actor or just want to engage in crafting their own techniques from stage presence to character building.  The evening begins with fun and mystery as guests are served dinner and begin to help solve a murder.

Community Clean Sweep "I Love My City"



  • When: May 18 from 9-noon
  • Who: All residents are invited
  • Where: McKenzie Park
  • What: "I LOVE MY CITY" Community Clean up Day! Volunteers needed to keep our City clean. All volunteers must check in first. Lunch provided by the Rotary Club will be provided to all volunteers. Come as a group or by yourself and you will be given an assignment. Bring your own gloves.

Saturday, May 18rd - 10 am - 3 pm 

Open to all professional artists, 18 years and older. Only original work designed, created and executed by the artist will be exhibited and for sale. Artists from throughout the region are welcome. Artists are responsible for delivery and setup of their artwork in the area designed Eastern Oregon Arts Festival Chair. Artist's display shall be manned by artist or their designated person. Artists will be assigned space inside local businesses or outside on the Festival Street (2nd St) as space allows. Please mark on your application which you prefer. Businesses are not responsible for attending or selling of artist's work. Businesses will be located on the 100 and 200 blocks of East Main St. in downtown Hermiston, Oregon. 

Media: Artwork may include any media, two or three dimensional: paintings, sculpture, jewelry, wood carving, airbrush, mixed media, drawings, photography, print making, metal sculpture, and ceramics. 
Conditions: Hermiston Downtown Association reserves the right to refuse work that is deemed inappropriate for a family audience. 
There will also be a Hermiston High School art exhibit displayed downtown Hermiston. If you are interested in displaying student art, please contact Mary Corp at marykaycorp29atgmail.com

Fees: Registration fee is $25 per artist. Forms may be delivered to Kay C's Art & Collectibles, 167 E. Main St. or mailed to the address below. Registrations will be accepted as long as space is available. Spaces will be assigned on a first-come-first-served basis. To be included in advance show publicity, your registration must be postmarked by April 15, 2015. 

Awards will be given: Professional artists will be juried based on their body of work presented during the Art Festival and cash prizes will be awarded. A Gold Award ($250), Silver Award ($100), and Bronze Award ($50) will be given. A People's Choice Award of $50 will be given as well. Student art will also be judged and 5 awards of $20 each will be given.

July 13, 2019

Join the Chamber of Commerce for Hermiston's Funfest, held annually on the second Saturday in July. This fun-filled event takes place on Main Street and McKenzie Park.

The festival includes children's activities, exhibits, food booths, vendor booths and live music from local entertainers. The Hermiston Classic Car Club has their annual show at McKenzie park.

Come participate or be a spectator of the 14th Annual Takin' it to the Streets 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament in Downtown Hermiston!

With help from the community, this non-city organization and event, has become one of the most popular and largest events in Hermiston that helps raise funds for Hermiston youth sports. 

Various activities will be available for the entire family and include:

  • Slam Dunk Competition
  • 3 Point Shoot-Out
  • And of course, the 3 on 3 tournament

Many food and beverage vendors will be onsite, and as always the downtown merchants will be open for you to explore as well.

Each triathlete will swim, bicycle, and finishing with running.  This is a wonderful opportunity for youth to participate in a low-keyed competitive event. Parents are encouraged to assist with any and all stages as needed.

  • All 7-12 year old participants must be able to to:
  •   Swim 50 meters, Bike 1 mile, Run .75 mile
  • All 4-6 year old participants must be able to :
  •   Swim 50 feet (life-jackets are available)
  •   Bike .6 mile (training wheels are allowed), Run .4 mile

This year our off-main Street businesses will set up on our Festival Street. Participating businesses on Main will have signs in their windows inviting children to collect treats from them. Follow the specially marked pumpkins that will meander you through Downtown Main Street.
