Code Enforcement Information and Complaints
When a property or vehicle violates the city codes or ordinances, the City of Hermiston Code Enforcement Official assists in resolving the issue by working with the property owner to find a solution.
Some of the most common Code violations are:
- Overgrown Lawn and Weeds (over 15 inches high)
- RVs, Boats, and Trucks parked in the street (for more than 72 hours)
- Garbage/ Junk/ Attractive Nuisances
- Abandoned Vehicles
- Abandoned/ Neglected/ Vacant Buildings
- Blowing Dust
- Improper Parking (wrong way, on sidewalk, blocking driveways, etc)
- Road Obstructions (basketball hoops, toys, etc)
- Garage Sale signs prohibited (signs attached to utility, streetlight, or other traffic control or otherwise located in the public right-of-way)
