Hermiston Family Aquatic Center Rules

FACILITY RULES

1. Lifeguards must be present while swimming.
2. No glass of any kind, including goggles, bottles, Tupperware, crockpots, pickle jars.
3. Refusal to abide by rules or staff instructions is subject to immediate and non-refundable removal from the premises.
4. Verbal or physical attacks on lifeguards or facility staff will not be tolerated and will result in immediate and non-refundable removal from the premises. Subject to be trespassed from facility.
5. Exit the pool promptly if directed to exit by any staff at any time.
6. State Law Requires:
   1. All patrons must shower before entering the pool.
   2. Swimmers with open sores, cuts, a communicable disease, diarrhea or that have been vomiting within the last 2 weeks are PROHIBITED from pool use.
7. An adult must accompany & supervise children under 10 years old at all times. Supervising adult must be willing and able to get in the water.
8. Swim diapers are required for all swimmers not toilet trained.
9. Appropriate attire for public location required. No thongs, cheeky bottoms, see through attire, string style swimwear.
10. Long hair must be restrained at all times for safety around drain systems.
11. Service animals only. Service animals are not allowed in the pool.
12. No jumping or diving except in approved areas.
13. No food or drink allowed in the pool or on the pool deck. Food allowed in concessions area and grass only.
14. No running, pushing, or horseplay in pools, on pool deck, locker rooms, showers, or lobby.
15. Smoking/vaping/tobacco is not permitted within the facility and must be further than 10 feet of all entrances, exits, accessibility ramps, windows, and air intake vents.
16. All flotation devices must be Coast Guard Approved, an adult must be within arms reach of any patron with a flotation device at all times.
17. No open swim activities are allowed during aqua fit or swim lesson times.
18. No snorkels or goggles that cover the nose are allowed. Glass goggles are not permitted.
19. Stay clear of all pool entrances/exits.
20. Personal music is allowed if kept at a low volume within your immediate area and must be free of explicit content to respect all patrons.
21. Intimate forms of public displays of affection is prohibited.
22. Water walking is only allowed in the lazy river.
23. No refunds.

The following are NOT allowed in the Hermiston Family Aquatic Center:

People who are experiencing any signs and symptoms of being sick, glass containers, alcohol, tobacco or vaping products, weapons, barbecues, gum, sunflower seeds, illegal drugs, bicycles, skateboards, skates, unattended food, feeding the seagulls, and whistling devices.

Cooler Sizes:

Personal coolers are allowed but are limited to: 14"L x 10" W x 12"H

Weather:

• Be aware, inclement weather may occur with no advanced notice.
• Facility will close if lightning is within 30 miles.
• No refunds shall be given for weather closures.
